Linda’s Bio
Living in Asheville, NC, is such an inspiration for a landscape and waterfall painter. My husband, Tom, and I traveled to the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Mountains for long weekends when we were first married. We enjoyed hiking and found our way along the various Appalachian Trail hikes in and around the Smoky Mountains.
Linda worked and studied with Kevin Macpherson, creating one of the first online mentoring websites called Artist Mentors Online (AMO). She also coordinated exhibitions of Kevin’s Reflections On A Pond around the United States. Linda has also studied with Carolyn Anderson and George Gallo. Linda also was a pioneer in the podcasting industry, launching Art Chat as part of AMO’s offerings. She is currently staring in a new painting show, called The Magic of Painting which can be seen on the Art Chat TV YouTube Channel. Art Chat and Art Chat TV have started their 14th season presenting art instruction and art discussion produced by Tree House Studios.
Later in life, we spent a long weekend in Asheville to train our kitties to accept the new cat sitter before we traveled to Ventura, California, where I presented a paper on creativity at The Representational Art Conference. Tom and I didn’t take long to discover our dormant love for this region. It was like coming home. Within six months, we moved to Asheville.
Linda and Tom enjoy hiking and cycling in Western North Carolina. On the hikes and rides, Linda studies the mountains' colors, soul, and atmosphere. Each hike and ride provides new learning and opportunities to catch her home in a new light.
Check out Linda Fisler's CV, quite impressive!
