Meet Our Team Members--Samantha Crow

Red Willow Art has a wonderful team that keeps the wheels turning behind the scenes. In this blog, we introduce Samantha Crow. Sam plays an important role as one of our Social Media Marketers. Red Willow Art is grateful for all our interns and is proud to present our team members with blog posts so you can get to know our team!

Hello! My name is Samantha Crow, and I am currently interning at Red Willow Art. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2022. My major was in Information Science and Society, which is another way to say I’m in marketing. I had a minor in Journalism. I believe that my major and minor fields can help me expand my skills in jobs and internships like Red Willow Art.

I have always been into art for years. Drawing as a whole has tended to make me happy and less stressed. Sometimes I tend to draw that stress on a digital page. Seeing people within that similar angle has made me glad I’m not alone in this. It is wonderful seeing what people post in general and to Red Willow Art because I get to see what people say without directly saying it to my face. Sometimes you just have to analyze what you have to see. You may as well see hidden messages that the artist was trying to convey within their piece. In general though, people like me just tend to draw for fun and to show off what was in their mind.

I do not have a specific type of art style that I prefer or like. There is a lot to choose from in an almost infinite amount of space and layers. I will say I like the use of watercolors and expressionism. Expressionism is something that I tend to use in nearly all of my drawings, mainly to set the mood and get the point across. The usage of emotions has always been interesting to me. I like being simple or more engaging with it. Watercolors, meanwhile, I tend to find pretty. There is not much to say about it besides that the mixing of colors makes a painting stand out more. Overall, any art piece can work with various styles.

Samantha has been designing wonderful posts featuring Red Willow Art's member artists, contests, Open Call for Artists, and other campaigns. We appreciate her design efforts and her efforts in getting the word out on social networks.
